VUHZ Centrifugal casts DEPARTMENT FOUNDRY Principle of centrifugal casting Our foundry produces castings by method of horizontal centrifugal casting (horizontal axis of rotation). Basic principle of this method consists in pouring of molten metal into rotating metallic mold. High revolutions of the rotating metallic mold and centrifugal force of mass of molten metal spread uniformly the metal that gradually solidifies into the shape of a hollow cylinder or circle.
